Sick Visit Policies

Our goal is to provide a safe space for all of our patients and staff while addressing the needs of the entire community. Please read over the following guidelines to ensure a safe visit.

We work hard to screen all patients and staff members prior to their arrival to ensure they do not have any signs or symptoms of a respiratory or viral illness. Our priority is to create a safe space in our waiting room for our higher risk patients.

We have a separate entrance for sick visits. Patients are welcome and encouraged to use this entrance and wait in their car instead of waiting in the waiting room. Our office will provide the details when the appointment is scheduled.

We do ask patients to wear a mask if under investigation for a respiratory illness. In the event a mask is required we will be happy to provide one. Our clinical providers are happy to wear a mask upon request.

We offer full spectrum care for our patients with COVID-19 symptoms including testing, face to face evaluations, therapeutic prescriptions, and documentation for school/work/travel. We triage all cases by phone and work through tele-health services when possible. In the event that a face to face evaluation is required we have a separate entrance and clinical area for patients under investigation for COVID-19.

We prefer not to accept walk in appointments for respiratory symptoms. Any patient trying to enter our waiting room with positive screening may be asked to return to their car and call our office to be triaged.

Patients recovered from COVID-19 and other respiratory illnesses, including hospital follow ups, are welcome to visit through our standard waiting room assuming they meet CDC guidelines for returning to public spaces.

If you have questions about whether or not it is appropriate to use our waiting room, please give us a call.
